The Norwegian Nobel Committee will be announcing who wins the Nobel Peace Prize at 11 CEST on October 10th.

Although Trump is unfavorable with many people, he has been nominated by various countries.

On June 20, Pakistan nominated Trump after diplomatic interactions during a May conflict between India and Pakistan were negotiated into a ceasefire. Then, in July, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced he would be nominating Trump for the prize.

On August 7, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet announced that he nominated Trump after a July ceasefire between Thailand and Cambodia. The skirmish had over 300,000 people on both sides forced to flee.

Later in August, both Armenia and Azerbaijan nominated Trump for the Nobel Prize. This came after Trump brokered a peace deal between the two countries.

Although these nominations will not be considered, the deadline for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize was February 1st.

Trump is by far the most popular nominee on the list, though that will not be a factor for the Norwegian Nobel Committee. If it does affect his chances of winning, it would be in a negative way. The committee doesn't want to be seen as caving to political pressures.

The list of official nominees will not be released for fifty years after the winner is announced. So we will not know if Trump is officially one of the candidates.

Recently, Taiwan's president said that Trump should be given the Nobel Peace Prize if he can get Xi Jinping's forces away from Taiwan. Given the lack of formal ties between President Ching-te and President Trump, they do not speak to each other directly. Taiwan's president has spoken multiple times about the fact that if China annexes Taiwan, the homeland interests of the United States will be disrupted.

With the annexation of Taiwan, China could heavily compete with the USA in a much more aggressive way.
